This cake is so moist. We love fruit cake but my sweetheart is allergic to corn. All of the candied fruit in a regular fruit cake have been candied with corn syrup. I bought a fruitcake fruit blend from King Arthur that has no corn syrup. I did brush the cake while it was hot with a little brandy.
