Beef Tips and Red Wine Gravy in the Slow Cooker

I needed this old home cooked therapy. Sunday dinner with the family.

1 package of stew beef

1 package of sliced mushrooms

1/2 an onion sliced

1/4 cup of flour

1/2 cup of red wine

2 cups beef stock

Sprig of rosemary

Brown the beef in batches and place in the slow cooker. Saute onion in that pan until soft. Add mushrooms and cook a few minutes. Add wine and scrape up the brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Add flour and cook stirring for a minute then whisk in stock. Cook until thick. Season with salt and pepper. Put rosemary in the slow cooker and pour over the gravy. Cook 8 hours on low.
